On Friday, safety Jordan Sterns (Cibolo, Texas/Steele) decided to decommit from Texas Tech, according to multiple sources.
Rivals.com reports that Baylor and Oklahoma State have recently offered the 6-foot, 195-pound prospect. Iowa State, Memphis, Texas State and Texas-San Antonio are his other scholarship offers.
At the time of Sterns' pledge to Texas Tech, ESPN's Damon Sayles reported that Oklahoma, Kansas, Kansas State, TCU, Oregon, Florida State and Nebraska were also showing interest.
The two-way standout rushed for 500 yards and seven touchdowns while also posting 66 tackles and three interceptions as a junior.
Texas Tech's 2013 class now holds seven verbals following the departure of Sterns.
