Bulldogs keep Mix inside state lines

Four-star offensive tackle Deon Mix (Batesville, Miss./South Panola) committed Sunday to play for Mississippi State, according to multiple sources.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound standout selected the Bulldogs over scholarship offers from across the country including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, Southern Miss, Tennessee and Texas.

Mix, the nation's No. 27-rated OT, is the second four-star to select Mississippi State this week joining wide receiver B.J. Hammond (Gadsden, Ala.). The Bulldogs have five total commitments.
