Defensive end Eric Wiafe (Egg Harbor, N.J.) has become the sixth Class of 2013 verbal for Rutgers, multiple sources report.
Wiafe did not play much as a junior but has impressed during the offseason. He measured in at 6-foot-5, 260-pounds at the Philadelphia Nike Combine. During that event, Wiafe posted an electronically-timed 4.94 40-yard dash, 4.72 20-yard shuttle, 29.2-inch vertical and 76.77 SPARQ.
Buffalo and UMass also extended scholarship offers to Wiafe. Boston College and Pittsburgh were among the other programs showing interest.
Five of Rutgers six 2013 commitments are from inside state lines.
