Four-star wide receiver Carlos Burse (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) committed to Vanderbilt on Thursday. The Commodores beat out offers from Florida, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Tennessee, among others.

Burse, the No. 27 prospect in Georgia and No. 48 wide receiver nationally, had 52 catches for 857 yards and 13 touchdowns last season for the Raiders.

The addition of Burse gives Vanderbilt 10 commitments for the 2013 class, three at wide receiver. He is the school's fourth commitment from Georgia.

The Commodores' class is ranked No. 23 in the ESPN class rankings, a number that figures to get a boost from Burse. He becomes the No. 2-ranked player in the Vandy class.
