“Oregon State which already has a verbal from one of the top offensive line prospects in the nation, just added a verbal from one of the top line prospects on the west coast. The Beavers gained a verbal from 4-star offensive tackle Garrett Weinreich who joins No. 2-rated guard Isaac Seumalo (Corvallis, Ore.) at the top of Oregon State’s 2012 class."
"In Weinreich the Beavers are getting an active and tough O-lineman who can be highly productive as both a run and pass blocker with further development. As run blocker he can come off the ball low and hard and quickly get into defenders and push them off the ball. He does a very nice job when asked to pull and trap and displays the agility and balance to play on his feet and be productive blocking in space. As a pass blocker he is able to set quickly and bend and slide his feet and uses his hands well to punch."
"In the early going he should be able to offer Oregon State some quality depth and in some time develop into a good well-rounded starting OL for the Beavers. With Seumalo and now Weinreich as well as 3-star Grant Bays (Oceanside, Calif.), Oregon State O-Line coach Mike Cavanaugh is getting some real good young talent in this class to develop.”
