Kicker Chris Blewitt (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac) committed to play for Pittsburgh, according to multiple sources, joinng punter Ryan Winslow (Wyndmoor, Pa./La Salle), who announced for the Panthers in late June.
“They said I could do whatever I want, start my true freshman year and be their kicker,” Blewitt told the Washington Post. “They really wanted me, they gave me everything I would have wanted. It didn’t seem like anything else was matching up to them.”
Temple also extended a scholarship offer to the 5-foot-10, 165-pounder and Notre Dame, Virginia, West Virginia and Navy showed interest.
Blewitt made 10 field goals (long of 37 yards) and 49 extra points last season. The Post reports that he connected on a 55-yard field goal attempt during Pitt's kicking camp.
