Kyle Chung (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.), a tight end/offensive tackle, has committed to play for Virginia Tech, multiple sources report.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound prospect also received scholarship offers from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Kentucky, Maryland, UMass, Miami-FL, Temple, Virginia, Wake Forest and Western Kentucky. Clemson and Vanderbilt showed interest.

Kyle is the son of Eugene Chung, who was selected in the first round of the 1992 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He played four seasons in New England, was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 1995 expansion draft, and then suited up for the Indianapolis Colts before retiring after the 1997 season.

Chung is commitment No. 14 for the Hokies but first from the Sunshine State and first at the tight end position.
