Senior inside linebacker Colton Goeas (Honolulu, Hawaii/St. Louis) committed to play in the Southeastern Conference for Tennessee, multiple sources report.
Arizona State, Army, Hawaii and Washington State also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot, 246-pound linebacker. Nebraska and UCLA were among the other schools recruiting him.
Goeas posted some of the most impressive ILB combine figures during the spring on the Nike circuit, including a 4.86 40-yard dash, 4.17 20-yard shuttle, 30.9-inch vertical and 101.55 SPARQ. His shuttle time and SPARQ score ranked just behind those for fellow Hawaiian linebacker Isaac Savaiinaea (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou), an Under Armour All-American and ESPN 150 prospect who is committed to Stanford.
The Volunteers have 15 verbals for this recruiting cycle.
