Senior Tyre'oune Holmes (Tylertown, Miss.) received a scholarship offer from Mississippi State, his longtime favorite, and quickly committed, according to the Clarion Ledger.

Tylertown coach Jason Johnson shared a conversion he had with Holmes last spring, “I said, 'T-Man, if you could go anywhere you wanted to go, where would you go.' And he said ‘Coach, I want to go to Mississippi State.' ”

The 5-foot-9, 170-pounder held offers from Alcorn State and Northwestern State. Louisiana-Lafayette, Ole Miss and Southern Miss also recruited the high school quarterback, who will likely change positions in Starkville.

Holmes is commitment No. 19 for the Bulldogs.
