Three-star wide receiver Taijuan Thomas (Monroe, La./Quachita Parish) is set to play in the Pac-12 for Stanford, according to the Times-Picayune.
Thomas, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound senior, selected the Cardinal over Illinois and Northwestern, his other favorites. Arkansas State, Dartmouth, Houston, Southern Miss and Tulane also extended scholarship offers.
"Taijuan embodies a complete student-athlete," Ouachita Parish Coach John Carr told the Times-Picayune. "He is a competitor in the classroom as well as the football field. Rarely will you find a kid that is a 4.0 student, that will be a valedictorian of his class and does what he does on the field."
ESPN calls Thomas, "an exciting receiver with excellent after the catch playing speed... has the speed and receiving skills to earn early playing time at the BCS level of competition."
Stanford has eight commitments.
