High three-star safety prospect Ka'Ra Stewart (O'Fallon, Ill.) verbally committed Saturday to Missouri while on an official visit to campus, multiple sources report.
"Everyone here is like one big family and that was really attractive," Stewart told the Belleville News Democrat. "Most other places I went I didn't feel that bond, I didn't feel that energy. When I stepped on campus here, I definitely felt it."
The 6-foot, 190-pound senior's other offers included Northwestern, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, UAB and Air Force. Nebraska and Minnesota were showing interest. He officially visited the Gophers on Dec. 2 and was slated to visit the Hawkeyes on Dec. 16.
Stewart, who originally attended Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy, registered 34 tackles, three sacks, four fumble recoveries, two interceptions, 428 rushing yards and five touchdowns this fall.
