A pair of junior college defensive ends, four-star Sione Sina (Elk Grove, Calif./College of San Mateo) and three-star Kyle Kragen (Danville, Calif./Diablo Valley College), signed this week with California, according to a release issued by the school's official site.
The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Sina is ranked No. 29 in the ESPN JC 100. He registered 66 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks over the last two seasons at San Mateo.
"Sione is a guy who is coming off a knee injury but we think that he will rehab really well because he's such a good athlete," new head coach Sonny Dykes said. "He's a versatile player who is capable of playing several positions and has a tremendous upside."
