High three-star quarterback Patton Robinette (Maryville, Tenn.) has decommitted from North Carolina and is now on board with Vanderbilt, multiple sources report. He originally committed to North Carolina's previous coaching staff in June.
Northwestern, Cincinnati, Iowa, Stanford, Purdue, Memphis, UCF, Arkansas State and Southern Miss were among the other programs to offer the 6-foot-4, 200-pound signal-caller. He visited the Hawkeyes the weekend of Dec. 16.
Robinette is the 21st pledge of 2012 for Vanderbilt, which holds the nation's No. 22-rated recruiting class, according to ESPNU.
