Late last week defensive back Jordan Lucas (New Rochelle, N.Y./Worcester Academy) was planning on playing college football at Temple, but his recruitment took a 180-degree turn and he committed to Penn State on Monday.

Lucas received his scholarship offer Monday morning, when he met with three Penn State coaches: defensive coordinator Ted Roof, secondary coach John Butler and linebackers coach Ron Vanderlinden.

"It happened pretty fast,” Lucas said. “They contacted me late last week and let me know they were interested. We had a good meeting here at Worcester – I got a good feeling for them, and they got a good feeling for me.”
