Three-star tight end Brandon Holifield (Tallahassee, Fla./Godby) has signed as part of Missouri's Class of 2012, multiple sources report.
Holifield originally committed to Miami-FL last June - before playing a single down of high school football. This past season was his first on the gridiron. However, he did not sign with the Canes on Feb. 1.
"I didn't feel comfortable with Miami 100 percent," he told the Columbia Tribune. "Missouri, they offered earlier around the time Miami did, but you know, they kind of fell off after I committed. I took some time to get back in contact with them and I set up a visit up there.
"Missouri is juts a great place to be," he added "They just joined the SEC. That's the premier conference. They're a great fit, great facilities."
According to a release issued by Missouri's official site, Holifield was also recruited by Rutgers, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.
With the addition of Holifield, Missouri has signed 20 players for 2012.
