Scouts: Texas adds physical CB

Texas needed to address the secondary in this class in an effort to improve its future pass defense and Antwuan Davis (Bastrop, Texas) is a step in the right direction. He will help on run support as well as this is a very well-rounded corner and one of the more aggressive perimeter defenders in this class.

This guy plays the position fast and physical and excels in press and tight coverages as well as zone schemes where he can drive on the ball. Davis has the size and length to match up with taller Big 12 receivers and will be ahead of the curve early when it comes to understanding zone and man concepts to help in his transition to college.

He's very instinctive with good anticipation and reaction skills and we feel Davis just needs to continue polishing his footwork and work on not being over aggressive on his pursuit and breaks on the football.
