It's not something an offensive tackle ever wants to be associated with on the field, but off of it, Cameron Hunt (Corona, Calif./Centennial) is in something of a holding pattern right now.
Hunt committed to Cal in July and has been the Golden Bears' top-ranked recruit since that time, but programs haven't stopped their pursuit of the 6-foot-4, 267-pound tackle. Things have heated up even more in recent weeks, with Cal's slide to end the season and chatter that a coaching change could be on the way.
Hunt hears all of it but is in no hurry to react to anything or make any decisions at this point, as he continues to build a very strong relationship with California offensive line coach and offensive coordinator Jim Michalczik. On Saturday, however, Hunt was on hand for UCLA's big win over USC and left the Rose Bowl impressed.
