Texas A&M landed its third commitment of the 2014 class on Monday morning and it's a significant one.
The Aggies received a commitment from 2014 ESPN Watch List athlete Nick Harvey of Lancaster (Texas) High School. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect announced the news on his Twitter page on Monday morning, posting "JUST COMMITTED TO TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY!" Harvey also confirmed the commitment to GigEmNation via text message.
In addition to Texas A&M, the defensive back holds offers from Arkansas, Baylor, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech and West Virginia.
Harvey and his Lancaster teammates are still going strong in the Texas Class 4A state playoffs, advancing to the third round after a 41-16 win over Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy on Friday. Lancaster will face Prosper (Texas) High School this weekend.
The acquisition of Harvey continues the momentum that the Aggies have picked up on the recruiting trail in the midst of their debut season in the Southeastern Conference, as they've exceeded expectations to go 10-2 and reach No. 9 in the BCS rankings.
