A new offense should help Tenn. QB

April, 11, 2013
Devon Smith is hoping a new offensive philosophy will jumpstart his recruitment.

The quarterback from Knoxville (Tenn.) Grace confirmed to ESPN that his high school team will move from an option attack to more of a spread passing attack this fall in part to take advantage of Smith's abilities. That should certainly help the 6-foot-4, 190-pound signal-caller display his skills and hopefully wow recruiters who wonder about his passing.

"The coaches had a meeting and said we are going to switch to a spread-first offense, so it'll be better," Smith said.
