FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots running back Danny Woodhead left in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Houston Texans with a left thumb injury. The team announced his return was questionable.
Woodhead immediately came off the field after taking a hand-off on the Patriots' first offensive play of the game. He then departed for the locker room accompanied by team medical personnel.
The 27-year old Woodhead played in all 16 games this season, making two starts.
UPDATE: Woodhead did not return to action, although he was on the Patriots' bench from the second quarter on.
