FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- As tight end Rob Gronkowski arrived in the locker room after Friday's practice, a large group of reporters followed him and then crowded around his locker in anticipation of his reaction to news that he had been cleared by independent doctor James Andrews.

"Ask Matt," he cracked, looking in the direction of fellow tight end Matthew Mulligan in the locker to his right.

As some TV cameras began to record, a Patriots official then approached and said that Gronkowski had fulfilled his media obligations for the week and wouldn't be answering questions.

Gronkowski then joked he would have been happy to had that not been the case.

Elsewhere in the locker room, receiver Danny Amendola was present but didn't answer questions. He has missed all week with a concussion and isn't expected to play Sunday.
