Aaron Dobson leaves game with foot injury

December, 29, 2013
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots wide receiver Aaron Dobson will not return after leaving in the first quarter of the team's game against Buffalo because of a foot injury.

The injury took place as Dobson was streaking down the field on a deep pattern. It is unclear if it is the same injury that held Dobson out of three games recently.

The Patriots kept rookie wide receiver Josh Boyce out of the game with an ankle injury, though Kenbrell Thompkins did return after missing time due to a hip injury.

Minus Dobson, the Patriots will rely on Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and Thompkins as their top wideouts.
