New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman wore a microphone during the team's AFC divisional-round playoff win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, and he's a central figure in the Sound Fx piece now posted on NFL.com.
A few things that stood out:
1. Edelman and receivers coach Chad O'Shea getting fired up on the sideline, with the emotional O'Shea telling the spunky Edelman that the offense had just put together its best drive. They were pushing each other in fired-up fashion when Edelman jarred him with his right arm and said, "You know what the best drive is? The next one."
2. Offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia telling Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, after the game, that he will be a champion in this league some day.
3. Quarterback Tom Brady calling in his receivers in pre-game warmups and saying, "We're made for this."
4. Plenty of admiration for the way LeGarrette Blount is running. "Lights out," Brady says, turning to Edelman. "He's good in the rain," Edelman responds.
