Apparently, New Orleans Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins’ fine for an alleged illegal hit on New England Patriots receiver Kenbrell Thompkins was rescinded or reduced after an appeal Tuesday.

“Happy that the @nfl changed their minds on my fine. … good call. Now I can enjoy my day off,” tweeted Jenkins, who was fined $15,750 for the hit last week.

Jenkins also drew a 15-yard penalty for the hit, which looked like a borderline call on replay reviews. Jenkins appeared to contact Thompkins’ facemask with his shoulder. But it caused Thompkins’ helmet to whip around to the side, which looked more egregious in live action.
