METAIRIE, La. -- New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham was held out of practice again Thursday, leaving his status in doubt for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. He participated in the team’s stretching period before leaving the practice field. But the Saints didn’t offer any specifics on whether he might be healthy enough to play Sunday.

“He’s day to day,” Saints coach Sean Payton said of Graham, who has been sidelined since injuring his foot during the Week 6 loss to the New England Patriots. “(Friday) will be an important day.”

On a positive note, Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan (ankle) and right tackle Zach Strief (ankle) returned to practice on a limited basis Thursday, boosting their chances of playing against the Bills.

Receiver Lance Moore fully participated for the second straight day. And cornerback Jabari Greer returned to practice after being absent for an unspecified non-injury reason Wednesday.

Four other players were held out of team drills: running back Mark Ingram (toe), safety Roman Harper (knee), defensive lineman Tyrunn Walker (knee) and cornerback Rod Sweeting (hip).

It appears as though Ingram suffered a setback in his recovery, since he was practicing on a limited basis before the Week 7 bye. But Payton declined to comment on Ingram’s status.
