#NFLRank: Drew Brees at No. 6

August, 30, 2013
The final segment of #NFLRank is out and it includes the top 10 offensive and defensive players. The New Orleans Saints have one representative on the lists, and it comes on the offensive side of the ball.

Any guesses?

Yep, it’s quarterback Drew Brees. He came in at No. 6.

ESPN Stats & Information: Brees threw for 5,177 yards in 2012 as he became the only player in NFL history to top 5,000 in consecutive seasons. Brees also established an NFL record by throwing a TD pass in 54 consecutive games.

Yasinskas comment: There is no question Brees belongs on this list. In my eyes, he’s one of the three or four best quarterbacks in the NFL. He is perfectly suited to New Orleans’ wide-open offense, and he brings as many intangibles as any player in the league.
