Saints audio: Brees, Strief interviews

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees joined ESPN’s "The Dan Le Batard Show" on Thursday to discuss the team’s free agent moves, among other topics.

Brees talked about losing so many longtime teammates this offseason, about his role in personnel decisions, about Jimmy Graham being “a little bit of everything” instead of a true tight end or wide receiver, and about how he doesn’t mind that short quarterbacks are always compared to him.

Brees tackled many of the same topics when he visited the NFL Network’s “Around The League” set.

Meanwhile, Saints offensive tackle Zach Strief joined the team’s "Black and Blue Report" podcast to discuss his decision to re-sign as a free agent. Strief said he knew he wanted to stay in New Orleans -- which didn’t make the process easier.

“Every time we heard from someone else, I emphasized to my agent to make sure to keep the Saints in the loop and see if we could get something worked out here,” Strief said.

Strief, who is from Cincinnati, said even his mother would probably concede that New Orleans is now his home. And he said this is probably where he’ll spend the rest of his life.
