Justin Tuck did not practice on Wednesday due to a tight back.

Tom Coughlin hopes Tuck will be able to play this Saturday in the preseason opener against Pittsburgh, but we'll have to see how the defensive captain is feeling today. Obviously, there's no reason to rush Tuck back if his back is ailing him. It's best to make sure that Tuck will be at full strength for the season without anything that could linger.

Remember, the Giants already have one star defensive end working his way back from a back injury (Jason Pierre-Paul).

In case you missed it: The Giants can't get enough of "Football On Your Phone." But Easy-Eli says he's retiring from the rap game. A damn shame.

Brandon Myers has impressed Eli Manning so far.

The starters will go a quarter in Pittsburgh.

NFC East guru Dan Graziano has an extensive Giants Camp Confidential. Check it out.

Finally, good guy Deon Grant has called it a career and is retiring as a Giant.

The 411: The Giants practice today from 1:30 p.m.-3:45 p.m. The defensive backs will sign autographs afterward.
