Injury report: 'Good to go,' says Cruz
By Matt Ehalt
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz (neck) is probable for Sunday's game against the Raiders after going through a full practice Friday.
"Good to go," Cruz said.
Cruz suffered the injury against Philadelphia on Oct. 27, and had the bye week to heal. He did not practice Wednesday, but he returned Thursday for a limited practice with a red non-contact jersey on, which is usually reserved for quarterbacks. The plan was to go fully Friday, which he did.
Cruz leads the Giants with 47 catches for 677 yards and four touchdowns, and has arguably been their best offensive player over the first half of the season. The 26-year-old has delivered since signing a six-year contract worth $46 million in the offseason.
Running back Brandon Jacobs (hamstring/knee) is doubtful for Sunday's game. Jacobs missed the last two games leading up to the bye with a hamstring injury. The knee is a new development. Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Jacobs did not have a setback during the week.
Cornerback Trumaine McBride (groin) is questionable after a limited practice Friday. McBride missed Thursday's session with soreness. The team held him back to see if he could have a full practice Friday.
"I feel good right now. I went out there today and I felt good running," McBride said. "I felt good turning. I felt good playing, so I’m ready to go for Sunday."
Fellow corner Corey Webster (groin) won't play against the Raiders. Webster missed four straight games with a groin injury before returning for the last two, although he didn't play much in either game.
