ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- At this point in the season, the Jets are struggling to find 46 healthy and able bodies to suit up. As a result, there were no surprises on the inactive list for the season finale Sunday against the Bills.
QB Greg McElroy, TE Dustin Keller, WR Chaz Schilens, CB Ellis Lankster, G Caleb Schlauderaff and LB Bryan Thomas are inactive. There are only six because the Jets elected to go into the game with a 52-man roster.
McElroy was ruled out Thursday because of a possible concussion, but he made the trip. That the Jets allowed him to fly with concussion-like symptoms was curious.
Braylon Edwards is likely to replace Schilens in the starting lineup. First-year RB John Griffin, promoted from the practice squad this week, is active. The Jets liked him early in training camp, but he got hurt and was released. Rookie DT Damon Harrison is active and could see an increased role. CB Darrin Walls, a disaster last week, probably will be the nickel back.
