FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- After a six-day respite, the New York Jets returned from the bye week Monday in relatively good health. The only player missing during the early portion of practice was wide receiver Jeremy Kerley, who is expected to miss a few weeks after injuring his left elbow eight days ago against the New Orleans Saints.
Wide receiver Santonio Holmes, who has missed five games with a hamstring injury, participated in all drills during the 30-minute window open to the media. He looked sharp and, barring a setback, looks poised to play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
Linebacker Garrett McIntyre (knee) didn't practice; he was relegated to the stationary bike.
Tight end Kellen Winslow, who returned last Monday from his four-game PED suspension, practiced for the first time. The team has a roster exemption for Winslow, which expires later Monday. They'd have to clear a roster spot to activate him.
