FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Santonio Holmes did not practice Wednesday, just three days removed from playing his first game in six weeks. Holmes was listed on the injury report with the familiar knee and foot injuries that have defined his season.
Against the Bills, Holmes played only about half his usual snaps, so did he reinjure something?
"No, it wasn't really a setback," Jets head coach Rex Ryan said. "It's just that today we thought it was best that he miss practice and heal up a little bit. But it wasn't something that he had a major injury, lets say. So I expect him to practice tomorrow."
Holmes injured his foot last season and required two surgeries to repair it. He was able to return to the field for the first game of the regular season but has struggled to stay there. A hamstring injury hampered the comeback as well.
Holmes has 12 receptions for 314 yards and a touchdown this season.
Here's the rest of the injury report:
Did not participate: WR Santonio Holmes (foot, hamstring), LB Garrett McIntyre (knee).
Did not participate: DT Haloti Ngata (knee)
