Practice Report: Missing Ed Reed

December, 12, 2013
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – Ed Reed was not at the Jets morning practice on Thursday. The newest safety on the team, who played for coach Rex Ryan when the two were with Baltimore, has not been on the injury report this week.

Reed arrived in time for the Bills game in Week 11, and played most of the snaps for the first three games he was here. But he struggled, giving up at least touchdowns in his starts. Last week in a win over Oakland, Reed shared reps with Antonio Allen.

In other defensive back news, CB Antonio Cromartie (concussion, hip) took part in individual drills without wearing the red no-contact jersey that players with concussions are generally required to wear.

There were no contact drills run during the part of practice that the media was able to watch.

WR Stephen Hill didn’t work with the wide receivers, and instead rode the stationary bike.
