The New York Jets' top decision-makers showed up Wednesday in Baton Rouge, La., as Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik attended the LSU pro day.
This isn't the first time Ryan and Idzik have scouted the same pro day, but it's always noteworthy when the head coach and GM appear at the same school.
LSU has several prospects that could be on the Jets' radar, led by wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. Beckham, rated the No. 3 receiver by Scouts Inc., will be a consideration with the 18th overall pick. Landry, the ninth-rated receiver, could be an option in the second round. Quarterback Zach Mettenberger, coming off ACL surgery, was the headline attraction for teams in the market for a strong-armed passer.
