SAN FRANCISCO -- Kristaps Porzingis added to his rookie year highlight reel Tuesday when he made a shot from the same spot at Oracle Arena that Stephen Curry made famous.

Video clips of the shot made the rounds on the Internet, showing Porzingis nailing the "hallway shot" while wearing flip-flops.

On Wednesday, the rookie explained that he needed just one attempt to make the shot.

"I made it on the first try and just walked away,” he said with a smile after the New York Knicks' shootaround at a club in San Francisco. "I had no doubt in my mind I was going to make it. It's a practice shot.”

Asked about the shot at the Golden State Warriors facility, Curry at first said he wasn't impressed with Porzingis' shot because the rookie's height makes it a bit less difficult. But when told that the 7-foot-3 Porzingis made it on his first attempt, Curry acknowledged that the shot was fairly impressive.

The Knicks will try to hand Golden State (60-6) its first home loss of the season Wednesday. The Warriors are 31-0 at Oracle Arena.
