Ring 10 to hold second annual fundraiser

Fight fans can meet and greet some of their fistic faves of yesteryear, including Buddy McGirt, "Bonecrusher" Smith, Donny LaLonde and Livingstone Bramble, as well as actor Holt McCallany, of the late, lamented series "Lights Out," when Ring 10, The Veterans Boxing Foundation of New York, holds its second annual fundraiser, on Aug. 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Marina Del Rey (1 Marina Drive in Throgs Neck).
Proceeds from the event, which will feature a cocktail hour, a silent auction of boxing memorabilia and dinner, will go to boxers who have fallen on hard times, and need a hand up, such as Wilfred Benitez and Gerald McClellan. Tickets are $135, or $160 after Aug. 10.
