Many of us fight fans tend to think we’ve learned all there is to learn about The Greatest, that there is no new ground to explore when it comes to the subject of Muhammad Ali.

True, it is rare that a novel nugget pops up. We’ve read all the bios, watched most of the footage more than once. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t pleasant to reacquaint ourselves with the legend and lore.

Feel free to check out some of the stellar material over on ESPN.com’s boxing section pertaining to the GOAT.

Start here, I think you’ll get a kick out of Tim Keown’s list. Note to Tim: My two cents … Laila Ali vs. Jacqui Frazier-Lyde was a pretty damned solid rumble. It may have reeked of opportunism, but those two ladies did their daddies pretty proud that night back in 2001.
