Malignaggi promises Tweet feat

By Michael Woods

The man takes his self-anointed moniker seriously. Paulie Malignaggi, boxing’s “Twitter King,” is so keen on retaining his crown, that he wants to pull a stunt that will make him the undisputed champion of social media in the sport. Malignaggi (30-4 with 6 KOs; bred in Bensonhurst, now living in LA, though training in NYC for next bout) tells us he aims to tweet in between rounds on April 29 in the Ukraine, when he fights WBA world welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko (32-0 with 21 KOs; age 34; from the Ukraine). And, pray tell, we wondered, how is he going to pull this off? Tweet with his tongue?

“I will figure it out,” the fighter said with a laugh. “Obviously taking gloves off between rounds is impossible but there is always someone I can have tweeting what I’m saying. I am in the midst of figuring out exactly how I can pull this off.”

I vote he use his tongue, for the record...
