Connecticut bettered Jersey as Delvin Rodriguez won a UD over Pawel Wolak in a junior middleweight scrap at MSG Saturday. Del was the cleaner, harder striker, and after a couple rounds, he stood in front of Wolak, who didn't possess the same pop as the victor. Delvin went 257-734, versus 167-742 for the loser.

They battled in July, to a draw, and I don't think anyone would mind another tangle, though Wolak might like to find another style of fighter next time out.

The tenth round was a thriller, with Rodriguez landing 65-101 shots in the round. The judges saw it 98-91, 98-92, and 100-90 for the Danbury resident.

I didn't care for Jones-Lujan. They were busy but there was power missing, and the thing was too repetitive. Jones needs..somethin. Maybe set down on his punches more. Thought he had more pop than that. This one, Rodriguez-Wolak, will be better. Hey, did you see the Rodriguez' video I put up? You think a nine year-old should watch his dad boxing?
