Luxury-tax bill projected to be record $83M

The Brooklyn Nets’ NBA-record luxury-tax bill for next season is projected to be $83 million, according to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein.

The reason why we're saying "projected" is because their payroll could always shift from now until the end of July.

Stein writes that the signing of Andrei Kirilenko for the mini mid-level exception took the bill from the $70 million range all the way to $83 million.
