Brooklyn Nets small forward Paul Pierce told reporters Monday there was a “good chance” he’d play in Tuesday night’s game against his former team, the Boston Celtics. But according to the team’s media game notes, he has been listed as doubtful.
Pierce has missed the past four games due to a broken bone in his right hand.
Point guard Deron Williams said Monday he will play following a nine-game absence due to a sprained left ankle.
