Here are three things to watch for today between the Nets and Hawks:
Jet-lag: It's kind of weird asking this, but will the Nets show signs of fatigue despite having not played since last Saturday?
When they lost in Toronto, they were exhausted after an overtime win against the Heat the night before and were playing four games in six nights. And then the Nets traveled across the Atlantic to London and have been trying to adjust to the time change, sight-seeing and all the NBA duties they have had accompanying this trip.
The Nets shouldn't be too tired but playing overseas always brings its own challenges. Jason Kidd will have to find energy from his players and substitute accordingly. Kidd will not have Deron Williams, who did not make the trip as he continues to rehab his ankle injuries.
London Joe: The Nets will continue to ride Joe Johnson. Johnson is averaging 23.2 points in his last four games.
The Nets are 7-3 this season when Johnson scores 20 or more points. If Johnson makes two more 3-pointers, he will become the 20th player in NBA history to drill 1,500 career three-pointers.
Scouting ATL: The Al Horford-less Hawks have lost four of their last six games, but those two wins were against Indiana and Houston.
The Nets will have to find a way to slow down Paul Millsap, Jeff Teague and keep Kyle Korver from getting hot. The Nets beat Atlanta, 91-86, when they last met on Jan. 6 at Barclays. Millsap and Teague both scored 16 points each in that game.
