W2W4: Nets at Pacers

The Brooklyn Nets look to avoid being swept by the Indiana Pacers in the regular season Saturday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Here’s what we’ll be watching for:

0-3: That’s Brooklyn’s 2013-14 record against Indiana (35-10) this season. The Nets (20-24) ended January with a 10-3 mark after being blown out by the Oklahoma City Thunder (38-10) Friday night at Barclays Center. This is as tough a back-to-back as you’re going to have, facing arguably the two best teams in the NBA. Brooklyn’s average margin of defeat against Indiana is 12 points.

INJURY UPDATES: Andrei Kirilenko (sore right calf) will miss his second straight game, while Andray Blatche (bruised left hip) is questionable. If Blatche can’t play, it would be a major blow to Brooklyn’s depth on the frontline. As if facing paint protector Roy Hibbert, high-post threat David West and All-Star Paul George wasn’t tough enough to begin with.

ODDS AND ENDS: Lance Stephenson, who wasn’t happy about not being picked for the All-Star Game, is averaging 21.3 points on 61.5 percent shooting against the Nets this season. Joe Johnson, who did make the All-Star team, is averaging eight points and three turnovers on 33.3 percent shooting in his past four games. Deron Williams is expected to come off the bench for a seventh straight game.
