Notes: Ross rips Nets, Morey smug on trade

Toronto Raptors swingman Terrence Ross said in a recent reddit chat last week that he personally wants to face the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs.

If the season ended Wednesday, Ross would get his wish as part of a 4-5 matchup between the Atlantic Division foes.

So what does Andray Blatche think about that?

“S---, you better be careful what tree you bark up. He better be careful,” Blatche said when asked by the New York Daily News. “He’s probably just saying that because he had a good game against us. But I don’t think that’s really what he meant or what he really, really wants.”

Ross had 12 points on 5-for-12 shooting in Toronto’s 101-97 loss in Brooklyn on March 10.

Ross also said that the best screen-setter is Kevin Garnett “because he sets illegal screens but never gets caught.”

Ross isn’t the first person to say that about Garnett, though.

This is interesting:

Lillard has since become arguably the best young point guard in the league, while Gerald Wallace didn’t last too long in Brooklyn after getting a big payday, and, for all the leadership he provides, his basketball skills have diminished significantly.

At the time, we wrote that the Wallace trade was a risky move.
