Why have they shot so well in Brooklyn?
“It's like when you feel comfortable when you have dinner at your house rather than when you go to someone else’s house and don't know what they’re going to cook,” Paul Pierce said. “Same thing.”
“Twin was great,” Nets coach Jason Kidd said. “He had a flashback to 2001, so he was good. Again, being able to rebound, keep guys off the boards and help defensively. But then offensively, he got a couple putbacks that were big for us.”
• The Nets are 31-13 since Jan. 1; 32-7 when scoring 100 or more points; 17-1 when shooting 50 percent or better from the field; 18-1 when Andrei Kirilenko plays; and 38-3 when leading after three quarters.
• Joe Johnson has hit at least one 3-pointer in a career-best 24 straight games. The franchise record is 28 (Kidd, of course, from Dec. 27, 2005 to Feb. 26, 2006). Johnson’s 151 3-pointers are his most in a single season since 2007-08.
• Shaun Livingston (23-points) had his fourth 20-or-more-points game of the season. He had five in his first 390 career games entering the 2013-14 campaign.
