Nothing is official yet, but indications are that Brooklyn Nets forward Alan Anderson will opt out of the final year of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent, league sources told ESPNNewYork.com.

Anderson, who brought a tough-as-nails attitude to the floor for the Nets, averaged 7.2 points on 40 percent shooting in 2013-14.

Anderson holds a $1.1 million player-option for 2014-15. He signed a two-year contract with the Nets last offseason.
