You have to wonder what happens when Avery Johnson yells, "Hey, Williams, get over here!" A group huddle?

Johnson's game plan is unique from other head coaches. He has to remember how to differentiate the Williamses on his bench -- all four of them. And that, my friends, is a record. The Nets are the first team in NBA history to have that many players with the same last name on the roster (Deron, Shawne, Shelden and Jordan Williams).

Here's a breakdown since the 1976 NBA-ABA merger (with the Nets first and the others in reverse chronological order):

2011-12 Nets (Williams) -- Deron, Shawne, Shelden, Jordan
2010-11 Raptors (Johnson) -- Amir, Trey, James
2009-10 Nets (Williams) -- Sean, Shawne, Terrence
2008-09 Clippers (Davis) -- Baron, Paul, Ricky
2005-06 Raptors (Williams) -- Alvin, Aaron, Eric
2004-05 Raptors (Williams) -- Alvin, Aaron, Eric
1995-96 Trail Blazers (Robinson) -- Cliff, James, Rumeal
1990-91 Celtics (Smith) -- Charles, Derek, Michael
1988-89 Spurs (Anderson) -- Greg, Michael, Willie
1982-83 Kings (Johnson) -- Steve, Eddie, Reggie
1981-82 Kings (Johnson) -- Steve, Eddie, Reggie
1979-80 Cavaliers (Smith) -- Randy, Bingo, Willie
1979-80 SuperSonics (Johnson) -- Dennis, John, Vinnie
