The Nets officially announced Friday that they've re-signed power forward Kris Humphries.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that his contract is worth $24 million over two years.
At his news conference Friday in East Rutherford, N.J., Humphries said he was never asked to accept a sign-and-trade deal to Cleveland as part of a potential blockbuster trade for Dwight Howard, according to reporters in attendance.
In other news, center Nazr Mohammed tweeted that he is en route to Newark Airport, presumably to meet with the Nets over the weekend.
A source told ESPNNewYork.com on Thursday that while nothing was imminent, there was a "good possibility" that Mohammed would be signing with the Nets.
Mohammed would serve as the team's backup center behind Brook Lopez.
The New York Post reported that Tornike Shengelia was at the team's practice facility Friday.
A league source told ESPNNewYork.com there is a "strong likelihood" that Shengelia will make the roster this season and sign a two-year contract, as first reported by the Post.
