Nets GM Billy King confirmed that unrestricted free-agent center Nazr Mohammed is visiting with the team in New Jersey.
"We'd like to sign him as a backup," King said during an interview on FOX Sports Radio on Saturday.
King also divulged that the Nets are "talking to" Andrei Kirilenko.
"He still can play," King said of Kirlenko. "He'd be a great piece to add and give us depth at the forward spot."
Because they are over the salary cap, the Nets can only offer both players the veteran's minimum.
A source told ESPNNewYork.com earlier this week there is a "good possibility" that Mohammed signs with the Nets.
King added that if the Nets do sign Mohammed, they could keep their only other available roster spot open, which could allow them to bring in Kirilenko later on.
