Looks like the Nets will still be searching for a backup center.
ESPN Chicago.com’s Nick Friedell reports that the Bulls are on the verge of signing veteran center Nazr Mohammed.
Mohammed visited New Jersey over the weekend, and GM Billy King was hopeful he could sign him.
Other backup centers on the free agent market include Darko Milicic, Shelden Williams, Ronny Turiaf, Kyrylo Fesenko and Hamed Haddadi.
The Nets will have two roster spots available, pending the signing of Tornike Shengelia.
